WOW! It's been a long time........

I have been a bad blogger. I know, I know! I don't have a lot of time, but here goes, a FAST update from February til now, and then I'll post a blog with just pictures in it!

March: We made a spring break trip to Florida, and Dillon made this trip like a champ as well, he is so good in the car. We had a blast with Nana and Papa! Will and I are so blessed that we get school holidays off so that we can go see his family on a regualr basis.

We had my 28th, birthday...... it was a great time. We had dinner at my grandma's and I spent it with my wonderful family. Dillon is 5 months old.

April- Dillon is 6 monts old and sitting up. He is the best baby. Doesn't ever give us any trouble, and is generally healthy. We are blessed!!!

We sold our house! After 14 months on the market we have finally gotten an offer and have never been so excited! Finally the burden of having two house payments is virtually over! It was a little bittersweet though, we have made some very good friends here in OKC and in our neighborhood and I will miss them a whole lot. Also, that was Will and mine's first house together and now it's gone........ ah....... okay, I'm over it! LOL

May-We closed on our house and after having 14 months to have everything out of it, we decided to do everything in 2 weekends, so three trips to the city and back and two weekends spent, we finally have everything moved out of it. I never dreamed that we had that much stuff, and here's hte kicker, we haven't used it in 14 months........ so why do we even need it??!?!?!?!

June-Will and I had our 4th anniversary and we spent it in Florida with his parents. The day was June 18th, and we were to be at the DFW airport early for a 5:30 am flight. so we loaded up D and left our house at 2:30am. We got to the airport at 4:15, and then everything went down hill from there, the shuttle picked us up late, the auto check-in kiosks were down, so we had to manually check in....etc...... so long story short we missed our plane. We called lynn and mark saying that we missed our flight, so lynn got on the internet and found us another flight out of DFW and they paid for our tickets! WOW, what great in-laws I have. you know??? Have I mentioned I'm blessed beyond measure. I do not deserve this life that I am living. Anyways, it was a short but enjoyable trip and D had a blast with his cousin Tanner and Aunt Bonnie.

Another AMAZING thing is that the house we had been wanting and dreaming since January of 2008 came back up for sale, and you guessed it....... our house had sold so we decided to go ahead and go look at the house again and see if it was all that we had rembered it to be, plus we had heard that they had made some changes to it so we wanted to see if we still liked it. Well, we went and looked and we not only like it, but we LOVED it! So we decided to place an offer on it!

July-D is crawling everywhere

July 4th- D had a wonderful time, we spent this 4th of July at home with just the 3 of us, it was very lowkey and VERY relaxing. We also heard that the people selling the house we wanted had accepted our offer, so we were going to be home owners again! We were so excited.

July 18-25th FAMILY VACATION! The Maxwells, Roberts', Strongs, and Anderson's went on family vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida. We had sooooooo much fun. We rented a house that was not to far from the ocean, and spent our days pretty much like this, breakfast, beach, lunch on the beach, house for a nap and dinner, and back to the beach for sunset. What a life. Some days we went shopping, one day we all went on a boat ride and snorkeling and dolphin watching. D did sooooo good. now, he did not get to snorkle, but he had fun on the boat. One of the days we went to the CUTEST town i believe that I have ever been to in my life. What a hidden jewel in florida. The town is called Seaside, and wow, I LOVE IT! Maybe I'll get to go back some day. D did so good on this trip, and he had a lot of fun on the beach, although I wish he could have been a little older and walking because it would have been alot easier on him. What a wonderful way to bring the summer to an end though!

August-We closed and moved into our new house! We love it. We feel at home in it for the first time in I don't know how long. I don't feel like a nomad or displaced. When I say I'm going home, I really mean it. Not just in a figurative sense as in, i'm going to the place that holds our bed and all our stuff, I mean I'm going home, to my refuge, my safe place, the place I'm going to raise my family. We have so much fun there. Walking on our land, picking blackberries, feeding our catfish, sitting on our back patio grilling and watching the sunset....... HOME SWEET HOME!

August was also my 10 year high school reunion...... My how my life has changed in 10 years. I've graduated college, I've worked several jobs, I've lost my dad, and several other family members, I've gotten married, I've bought 2 houses I've moved so many times I can't even remember, I've had baby...... the list could go on and on. What a trip and I hope I have many more years to come! It was good seeing the few of the class of '99 that showed up!

D got his two bottom teeth, and is pulling up on everything and he is sooooooo curious getting into cabinets, trashcans, playing in the toilet, putting cheetos in the VCR, etc.

September- Okay we are into a little more recent times-

We have been enjoying the College Football Season, although it has not been the season that Will or I expected for our teams..... OUs has been met with injuries, and an unexpected loss, Will's has been met with his team having major highs and lows in the young season..... We are anxious to see how things play out.

We have gotten settled into our new house (finally) I only have one room now that is a disaster area, but it really feels like home to us. We've had people over, a couple of times for birthdays, and cookouts and girl parties, and it has handled the load really well. We are going to love entertaining there I just now it.

The school year is in full swing now and the kids are finally getting into the routine of the daily grind of school. I'm not so sure that I am! LOL!

D experienced his first county fair, and he LOVES Funnel Cakes! Ha. EWe did not make it to the State fair this year, hopefully next year.

We are anxiously awaiting October- D's first Birthday..... man can you believe it's been a year already, Mark and Lynn (Nana & Papa) are coming from Florida for D's birthday we are SOOOOO excited to have them! The weekend of October 11th can not get here fast enough.

Well that is the very brief version of what's been going on in our lives, I will try to keep this updated for often now, that I have regular internet access and fast downloading time for pictures!
